This past June, our team sponsored and attended the Classy Collaborative. It is a three-day immersive experience that is designed exclusively for nonprofit professionals and social impact leaders to learn, share, and get inspired. In our opinion, it is the best nonprofit conference out there, especially if you are looking through the lens of marketing, fundraising and growth. You really build a community and relationships, especially when you go year after year.    


Highlights From #Collaborative19

We were honored to have the opportunity to talk about the Google Ad Grant and how it can scale online fundraising with search to a room of upwards of 300 people. Our founder and CEO, Cameron Ripley, sat on a powerful panel with Michelle, the head of Google Ad Grants Global, Nadia from The Statue of Liberty – Ellis Island Foundation, and Calvin from The Trevor Project, with our favorite moderator, Charlie. We then had so many conversations the rest of the conference, one-on-one, diving in deep to give ad grant help. We also had the Google team there providing reactivations and additional tracking support.    


Big Themes to Comes Out of the Collaborative

1. Diversify funding and your nonprofit’s channels of funding

2. The power of social media fundraising tools, especially Facebook

3. Classy is building an integration to Facebook Fundraising

4. Recurring giving is mandatory these days and extremely powerful


Final Thoughts

There were a lot of panels on impact measurement. It’s something that is still in the early stages of how to do it well. There is the pre-data work, the during data collection work and the post-data collection work.
