Their Story

Ending Sex Trafficking Through Prayer, Awareness, Intervention, and Restoration.

The organization works with the Houston community, and online, to provide awareness and the training needed to identify and fight trafficking, creating an outcry for justice. Elijah Rising mobilizes their team and volunteers to become aware via van tours, their Sex Trafficking Museum and intervene every Friday night through direct outreach. The Elijah Rising Restoration Campus is also home to their long-term care program that serves as a place for restoration for women who have survived sexual exploitation. They also sell a variety of merchandise, some of which are handmade by women who are a part of the restoration program, providing them with a safe employment opportunity.

Elijah Rising's goal was to increase their brand awareness, reach more people, and bring in purchases to their online shop as well as donations.

The Solution

Facebook Ads Engagement Campaign

For the purpose of both creating brand awareness and reaching many new individuals, as well as creating warm audiences to remarket to, the first tier we employed was via an engagement campaign. The engagement campaign focused in on their already socially engaged audiences and previous donors to further familiarize and remind them of Elijah Rising, as well as two different audiences focusing on new visitors who may not know Elijah Rising but would potentially be interested in the mission.

Facebook Ads Conversions Campaign

The second tier of this strategy was utilizing both a conversions campaign for their shop. The conversion campaign specifically highlighted their handmade candles, a bread-and-butter item from their shop. Reason being, it tied in specifically with their mission, as candles are made by women in their recovery program.

Facebook Ads Donation Campaign

The third tier of this strategy was implementing a donations campaign, which eventually shifted to a recurring giving donation campaign. This campaign articulated the benefits of donating and used qualitative language to educate audiences on how their donation would be utilized.

We hired Community Boost at the beginning of 2021 to create an online marketing strategy and run our social media ads. Due to the pandemic, we realized the need to improve our digital marketing. Community Boost came alongside us to help us build strategy, as well as create the foundation for future growth into more targeted marketing campaigns.
