Helping Indiana Residents Apply for and Maintain Health Insurance Coverage

Covering Kids and Families works to help all Hoosiers apply for and understand the different types of health insurance coverage that are available to them. There are a variety of programs that they help people navigate, with the ultimate goal of simplifying the process of getting covered and staying covered. 

Their Goal

Their goal is to get new users to sign up for appointments, as that’s how they’re able to help service Hoosiers. By utilizing Facebook advertising, their hope is to garner new appointment sign ups, as users generally do not need to repeat this service once they have gotten health insurance coverage.

The Solution

Facebook Ads Campaign: Traffic Campaign

We originally employed a traffic campaign, which honed in additional audiences that could be introduced to CKF, as well as those who engaged with the engagement ads, as they were already aware of the organization upon sending them to the website. The traffic campaign provides us with the ability to remarket to users later on in the conversion campaign.

The conversion campaign focused on interest audiences for that may be underserved with health insurance, as well as additional socially engaged users and remarketing audiences from the website and based off of video views.

We also added in an engagement campaign, to further tackle building top of funnel audiences. That way, users may have an extra touch point to become familiar with CKF, prior to being remarketed to. 

Covering Kids & Families partnered with Community Boost to increase the effectiveness of our social media marketing, particularly on Facebook. The Community Boost team conducted testing of a wide array of advertising products and provided highly detailed analytics. Through this effort, what would have taken us years to achieve with limited in-house resources was completed in months. Our campaigns are now targeted much more efficiently, and conversions are continuing to improve month after month. The insights gained through our work with Community Boost have been useful well beyond our initial goals, and we have extended our scope of work with them to our website and other properties. Partnering with Community Boost has been an extremely wise investment for our organization.
