Telling Uniquely American Stories

The Tenement Museum tells the uniquely American stories of immigrants, migrants, and refugees in the ongoing creation of our nation. 

Their mission is to foster a society that embraces and values the role of immigration in the evolving American identity through guided tours; curriculum and programs for secondary and post-secondary educators; stories, primary sources and media shared on our website; and interactive online experiences such as Your Story, Our Story, podcasts and more.

The Museum was in critical need of fundraising efforts in light of their temporary closure due to the virus. The goal was to keep the museum alive by any means necessary.

Driving Support

Our strategy was to launch a Facebook Fundraiser highlighting the importance and need to support the Museum at this critical time. Tenement Museum and Community Boost strategized together, which resulted in a coordinated two-prong approach. We set up a Facebook Fundraiser that was synchronized with a matching email appeal to launch at the same time. 

Connecting with Their Core Audience

Our ongoing strategy is to give their core audience a way to support and also share why they are supporting the museum to their own network, which will draw support with controllable ad spend. It is truly heartwarming to see the responses we have gotten thus far.

  • $10,000+ from the Facebook Fundraiser

In light of the COVID-19 crisis, we were working hard to quickly launch a critical fundraiser for the Museum and we were unsure of the best way to maximize the effort.

The Community Boost team came through with a nimble response, developing a strategic game-plan that we could implement to aid in our effort to secure the Museum’s future under tough circumstances.
